Nordic invests in knowledge sharing platform

MADISON, WI – Nordic has partnered with Breadcrumbs, a Madison-based health IT company, to
develop a proprietary knowledge base built on Breadcrumbs’ innovative question and answer
collaboration tool. This knowledge base will facilitate real-time collaboration between Nordic’s
consultants, and build a dynamic repository of experience, implementation knowledge, and best
practices.

“Because Nordic consultants average 9 years of experience and 4 Epic certifications,
we often hear from our clients that they are more experienced and efficient than others in the
industry,” said Mark Bakken, CEO. “Now with Breadcrumbs, our team is equipped with the
collective knowledge of over 325 Epic consultants, 1,400 Epic certifications and 3,000 years of
healthcare IT experience.”

“This is a phenomenal step forward in our goal to provide the best solutions to our
clients,” added Drew Madden, President. “Although Epic projects are highly customer specific,
there are many opportunities for team members to leverage past experiences and knowledge
to complete projects faster. The fact that our consultants have worked with over 80% of
Epic’s customers allows us to aggregate knowledge and best practices to benefit our clients.”

Nordic is based in Madison, Wis., and focuses exclusively on Epic implementation,
optimization, affiliate solutions and remote support. With more than 325 Epic-certified
consultants working with 87 Epic customers, Nordic is the largest Epic-specific consulting firm
in the world.

Breadcrumbs, headquartered in Madison, Wis., runs a collaborative site that provides
answers for HealthIT questions. Their goal is to improve health IT through better information
management and interdisciplinary collaboration.
