Nordic joins CHIME and leads sessions at CIO forum in Orlando

MADISON, WI — Nordic joined the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) as a Foundation Member in October 2013, and later this month, will participate in the CHIME CIO Forum at HIMSS14 in Orlando.

“Nordic is pleased to be a part of an organization that does so much to support healthcare IT leaders through education, collaboration and advocacy,” said Mark Bakken, CEO. “As the #1 KLAS-ranked experts for Epic services, Nordic’s collective knowledge of Epic software helps health systems quickly realize the benefits of their investment in electronic medical records, which ultimately leads to better, safer and more affordable healthcare in our communities.”

As a CHIME Foundation member, Nordic has the opportunity to lead focus group discussions at CHIME CIO Forums. At the CHIME-HIMSS CIO Forum in Orlando, February 22-23, two Nordic experts will cover timely topics.

Abby Polich, Nordic’s Director of Affiliate Solutions, will facilitate a discussion on extending the Epic EMR to affiliates—facilities currently within the health system, or new entities acquired through a merger or acquisition. The session will address the change in mindset that comes with a health system’s new role as a software vendor, strategies for health system/affiliate engagement, cost control best practices, and characteristics of successful affiliates. Nordic is an Epic Credentialed Connect provider, one of four firms nationwide to earn this distinction.

Joel Martin, Nordic’s Director of Optimization Solutions, will facilitate a conversation about Epic EMR Optimization with a focus on ROI. The group will discuss the challenges of delivering and measuring ROI, and optimization's critical role in turning ROI from vision to reality.
