Top things to do during your visit to Madison

The signature sunburst chairs adorn the Memorial Union Terrace, boaters have taken to the area lakes, the smell of Stella's famous fresh cheese bread fills the air every Saturday at the farmer's market, and the flow of traffic is steady on the bike paths.

This can only mean one thing. It’s summertime in Madison, Wisconsin.

It’s a special time of the year here in Wisconsin’s capital city, and it’s one of the best seasons to visit. There’s so much to see and do. Whether you’re a foodie, fitness junkie, beer aficionado, or horticulturist, there’s bound to be something that strikes your fancy.

If you’re finalizing plans for your visit next week, we put together a few ideas for your travel itinerary – a Madison summer bucket list, if you will. On this list, we’ve included our favorite places to eat, drink, and enjoy all the scenic spots that make our hometown so special.

And while you’re making plans, don’t forget to RSVP to Nordic’s Open House: Monday, Aug. 26, from 7-10 p.m. We’d love to see you there, get to know you better, and share some of our Madison favorites in person.
