You’ve got 1,000 questions; we’ve got answers: Nordic’s collective knowledge sharing tool

We’ve all been there. You have a complicated, time sensitive project. Even with your experience, you've never run into this particular problem. The answer isn’t readily available, and you’re not sure where to find the information you need. After listening to clients share their EHR growing pains, Nordic implemented Insight, a collective knowledge management tool for our employees to ask questions and share answers through a secure digital platform. Questions range from “What is a good brand of wall mount arm for computers in exam rooms?” to “What’s the average Beaker install time for an experienced Epic enterprise customer?”

You’re probably thinking this sounds like a 1990s Radio Shack commercial (“You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers!”), but here’s how Insight helps our consultants deliver better value to our clients:

It’s shared knowledge.

You’re gaining access to consultants who have access to the questions and answers from all of our 650 experts, who have partnered with over 175 clients. Questions often relate to system configuration, implementation methodology, and the day-to-day logistics of being a consultant.

It saves time.

Insight was created to help consultants spend less time on the EHR hamster wheel and more time focusing on what matters most, patient health. It features an easily accessible search engine for consultants to ask and answer time sensitive questions.

It’s historical.

A healthcare organization may have experienced something in 2014 that you are experiencing today. Insight captures and archives questions using tags and keywords. Consultants can follow specific tags to be alerted when questions are asked.

It builds community.

Insight is used for interdisciplinary collaborative work. If a client in California is working on a project similar to one in Boston, our consultants are able to build relationships with one another without leaving their client sites.
